Color Masterbatch

As a dispersant for pigments and a processing lubricant and smoothing agent. Polyethylene wax has strong affinity with various additives and good compatibility with various resins. PE wax coats the pigment particles, preventing their agglomeration and clustering, forming a fine, stable colloidal solution that is evenly distributed in the resin. Moreover, PE wax has a high melting point and low melt viscosity, thereby improving the flow processability and thermal stability of the color masterbatch. The dosage can range from 5% to 40%, suitable for various types of color masterbatches.

●      Rubber and Plastic Processing

As a lubricant, release agent, and compatibilizer.

PE wax has good compatibility with PE, PP, PVC, ABS, AS, PC, rubber, etc. Due to its high melting point and low viscosity, it promotes good resin flow, relatively reduces the power consumption of resin mixing, minimizes adhesion between the resin and the mold, facilitates demolding, and acts as both an internal and external lubricant. It also serves as a dispersant for pigments and has good anti-static properties.

1.   In PVC processing, it is used abroad as an efficient lubricant, coating agent, and pigment dispersant. Adding 1% can increase PVC processing capacity by 10–15%. In the processing of rigid PVC products, adding 0.1% is equivalent to adding 3% of other lubricants. Using PE wax can reduce torque, improve thermal stability, and minimize PVC decomposition during processing. To avoid damaging the transparency of the product, the dosage is best kept below 0.5%.

2.   In ABS and PS processing, add about 0.5%.

3.   In rubber processing, it can serve as a lubricant, filler, and plasticizer.

●      Ink

As a dispersant and anti-scuff agent.

Due to its good lubricity, glossiness, and dispersibility for pigments, PE wax is widely used in ink processing to enhance the ink's scuff resistance and brightness. It should first be dissolved in heated solvents such as white oil. The general dosage is 0.5–2%.

●      Hot Melt Adhesive

As an excellent viscosity modifier.
